Symblepharon rings are designed to prevent retraction of the conjunctival cul-de-sacs without touching the cornea.
The ring is used to avoid total or partial adhesion between the internal face of the eyelid and the eyeball, as well as maintaining the depth of the conjunctival bag.
Also used for implanting Amniotic Membrane Graft
